"Marc is a very competent coach and the best for promising juniors in the Wellington area. He was a good national player himself and that has translated into his coaching abilities. To see an improvement those parents with good juniors should send their kids to Marc ASAP! Best regards, Onny Parun.
Onny Parun is widely considered NZ best ever tennis player. Onny was in the worlds top 20 for 5 years, made the final of the Australian Open, 1/4 finals of Wimbledon, and won the French Open doubles. Marc coached with Onny at the Karori United Tennis Club including a large group of Wellington's best juniors, and on tour with Wellington rep teams.

Karori United Tennis Club
"When Marc took up the position of Resident Coach in October 2005, the club had very few juniors taking part in Wellington age group tournaments. Within a couple of seasons, Karori United players had become a major presence at such tournaments both in the number of entrants and their success in the competitions. Many of these juniors became part of successful Wellington and Tennis Central teams competing in regional and national tournaments, and several competed with distinction in the New Zealand championships".
"Marc started coaching me when I was 11 years old and ranked no.3 in NZ. His coaching and mentoring helped me to become NZ no.1 in the 14s and 16s age groups, and beat some of Australia's best juniors. I recommend Marc to any young player keen to improve their game and succeed".

"Marc has been coaching our three boys for the past five years. During this time they have achieved a high level of success in the sport and developed a love for the game. Marc is the consummate professional with high standards and work ethic. Marc's personal success as a junior means he is aware of the challenges that face young players. Over the past 5 years Marc has helped our children develop technical skills, mental fortitude, self motivation and game strategy. Marc has had a lot of success in coaching high performance juniors at both regional and national level. He has also been selected to tour with the New Zealand team on several occasions. He is constantly looking for ways to improve his tennis programmes engaging both fitness professionals and sports psychologists so that the kids can achieve their maximum potential. Marc is always keen to hear from both kids and parents. He has been instrumental in helping our children develop short and longer term goals and then sets about helping them to achieve them. This is a skill set that they have learned to adapt to other parts of their lives. Marc also offers team trips to compete at regional tournaments. Our kids have always loved these opportunities where they travel with their friends, play great tennis, have some fun and independence. It is our belief that not only is tennis a fantastic sport to play but also teaches kids resilience. We can not recommend Marc highly enough.
"Marc helped my to win the national 16s singles title, and to make the NZ Junior Fed Cup team. He is a hard working and dedicated coach. I would recommend joining the HVT Academy to any young tennis player."

His high expectations with attitude and work ethic really brought the best out of me and held me accountable every time I stepped on the court. His dedication and communication skills provided me with the perfect environment to improve my game. Marc always wanted the best for me which really made it a pleasure working with him".

"I am pleased to acknowledge the outstanding contribution which Marc Paulik has made and is making to tennis coaching in the Hutt Valley/Wellington region. The recent award by NZ Tennis of the ‘Coach Of The Year Award’ is recognition of his coaching excellence. Since he started his Hutt Valley tennis Academy at least 4 of his pupils have won national singles or doubles titles with several also being selected for regional age group teams. Marc presents structured and challenging coaching opportunities which advance the more competitive players whilst also encouraging younger or newer players to develop their understanding and enthusiasm for tennis. In my role as a foundation coach I am pleased to forward players on to Marc as I know he will support and progress their talents and seek to improve their discipline and attitudes".

"I have had the privilege of having Marc as a coach when I was younger and as a long time teammate on the Thorndon team where we have won numerous Premier 1 titles together. Marc helped develop key fundamentals in my game when I was younger which helped me win national and ITF titles and attend a top tier Division One University at the University of Arizona. I have nothing but respect for how Marc trains his students who turn out to be not only amazing players but amazing people. As someone who has played and coached around the world, I think Marc is one of the top coaches in the Southern Hemisphere".
